Big picture: In chapter 2, the narrative transitions to the story of the beginning of the human family.  In God's vision for human life, we discover that Adam and Eve are "naked and without shame," indicating the openness and vulnerability for which we are created and for which we long.  It is a "nakedness" that includes our relationships with God, each other, and the whole created order.
